"Out of such simple and pure beginnings, grow wonderful and great things" - Lenora Ashmore Blackiston
Originally a local sorority founded a year after High Point University's opening, our chapter affiliated with national Kappa Delta on February 12, 1955. We are composed of 176 diverse girls from across the country, all uniting under the same values and continue to strive for that which is "honorable, beautiful, and highest," our open motto. We have been awarded as the 2014 Sorority of the Year and hold the highest GPA among sororities for over 20 years! In addition, we have won Greeks Got Talent as well as the lip sync portion of Greek Week. This past year we were awarded the Chapter of Excellence award, Outstanding Service to the Community, and Panhellenic Academic Excellence.
We are proud of our strong reputation on campus and continue to work towards excellent in all five areas of our chapter: social success, academic excellence, philanthropic efforts, leadership, and membership. You can find us smiling and opening doors for students and faculty, being active participants in the classroom and around campus in other clubs and societies like University Ambassadors, or even just enjoying each others' company in the house or by the pool. Kappa Delta promotes greatness among its members and striving to be the best versions of ourselves every day!
