A Letter to the Class of 2022
You are getting ready to embark on a journey that will bring about some of the best experiences of your life. Soak it in. A new chapter is just around the corner and although you may feel nervous about what is to come, take a moment to embrace this place that you are in. Entering into High Point University will give you the opportunity to find yourself while you explore all that college life has to offer.
For me, moving to High Point meant packing up all of my belongings and travelling 500 miles away from the only home I had ever lived in. I was convinced that no other group of women would ever be able to replace my high school girl gang. When considering whether or not to go through the formal recruitment process, I was hesitant because I never imagined that I would be able to find a home away from home that would provide me with the same unconditional love and support that I had waiting for me back in Ohio. But looking back, I can honestly say that nearly every wonderful thing that has happened to me in the past two years has somehow been in relation to my involvement with Kappa Delta.
You will never be presented with a better opportunity to expand your horizons, take a leap of faith, and dive into something entirely new. Greek Life at High Point University will immerse you into the campus culture in a way that is positively indescribable. The two hundred sisters that I gained upon going Kappa Delta has been one of life’s sweetest blessings, so although my high school girl gang still remains in my heart forever, I am honored to say that going Greek has truly brought me home. So take it from me, a woman who was in your shoes only two years ago, just go for it.
